The limits of what hosting can promise. We would rather you read this before you buy than discover it on a bad day.

Everywhere else on this website we are selling you something. This page is the other half of that conversation, and it is deliberately unglamorous.

None of it replaces the terms of service — the terms are the agreement. This page just says the same things without the legal shape, so that nobody can reasonably say they were not told.

Shared infrastructure, and other customers

Your websites share a server with other people's websites. We separate accounts properly — separate Linux users, separate PHP processes, separate database credentials, and CPU, memory and disk limits the kernel enforces. Ordinary overuse by a neighbour does not reach you.

What separation cannot do is make you invisible to the machine and the network underneath you:

  • An attack aimed at one website arrives on a link and an address that other websites share, and can slow or interrupt them while it is absorbed.
  • A customer who breaks our rules — spam, phishing, a hacked site used for an attack — can get a shared address listed by a blocklist or a mail provider. That can affect email delivery or reputation for other sites on that address until it is cleared.
  • A hardware fault, kernel fault or extreme load spike interrupts everything on that machine.
  • Fixing any of the above can require a restart or a reboot, which is a short interruption for everyone on the server.

We are not liable for downtime, lost sales, lost data or lost rankings caused by another customer's behaviour or by an attack directed at them. What we commit to is the work: we watch for it, we act quickly, we remove the account causing it, we clear the listings, and we tell you what happened. If your project cannot tolerate that possibility at all, shared hosting is the wrong product — ask us and we will tell you so before you pay.

Uptime

We aim for 99.9% availability, measured monthly — about 43 minutes. That is a target we publish and hold ourselves to, not a contract with money attached: we do not sell service credits, because a credit worth a few rupees is not what you want on a bad day and pretending otherwise would be theatre.

The target excludes announced maintenance, emergency work, anything caused by your own site or plugins, attacks, your DNS or a third-party service you connected, and events outside our control. The terms list them properly.

Planned maintenance is announced in advance where we can. Emergency work is not, because the alternative to emergency work is a longer outage.

Your WordPress is yours

We keep the server, PHP, the web server, the database and the platform healthy and up to date. What runs on top of it is your side of the line:

  • The plugins and themes you install, including ones that are abandoned, insecure or simply slow.
  • Updates you choose to apply or postpone, and anything an update breaks.
  • The users you create and the passwords they choose.
  • Your content, and the rights to it.

We will help you when one of these goes wrong — that is what managed hosting is for, and we will not hide behind this paragraph to avoid looking. But a site taken down by a plugin you installed is not an outage of our service.

Backups are a service, not insurance

Automatic daily backups are real, they are tested, and you can restore them yourself. They are still not a guarantee that your data can always be recovered.

A backup can only restore what it captured. If a site was already broken, already infected, or already missing something when the backup ran, that is what comes back. Retention is finite, so a problem you notice months later may be older than every copy we hold.

Keep your own copy of anything you genuinely cannot afford to lose. Every honest host says this and it is worth repeating.

Performance and the numbers on this website

Speed figures, benchmarks and comparisons anywhere on this site are measurements we took on our own platform, on the setup described. Your site's speed depends on your theme, your plugins, your images, your traffic and where your visitors are. We are not promising your site will match a number in an article.

Plan resource figures are different, and they are a promise: they are the actual limits configured on the server, and the features page lists what is enforced.

Where we link to another company's website, tool or documentation, we do not control it and we are not responsible for it. Where you connect a third-party service to your site — a CDN, a payment gateway, an email service, an SEO tool — that service is between you and them.

Nothing on this website is legal, tax, financial or business advice. Our guides tell you how to run a WordPress site well. They do not tell you how to run your company.

Prices and offers

A price you saw somewhere other than our checkout page may be out of date — an older page, a cached copy, one of our own social media posts, a coupon site, or a review article. The price on the final checkout page for the order you are about to pay for is the only one that binds us. The terms say so properly.
