  • Dedicated server hosting
  • Email hosting and management
  • Website building tools and applications
  • SSL certificates and security features

Domain Services

We offer domain registration, renewal, and management services subject to the policies of respective domain registries and ICANN regulations.

Additional Services

Additional services may include website design, technical support, migration assistance, and backup services as separately agreed upon.

Account Responsibilities

Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Using strong passwords and enabling two-factor authentication when available

Account Information

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and promptly update any changes. False or misleading information may result in account suspension or termination.

Payment Terms

Billing and Payments

Payment terms vary by service type and are specified during signup. All fees are due in advance unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Accepted payment methods include:

  • Bank transfers (for certain plans)

Automatic Renewal

Services are set to automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for renewal fees.

Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new shared hosting accounts. Refunds are prorated and do not include setup fees, domain registrations, or third-party services. VPS and dedicated server refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Late Payments and Suspension

Accounts with overdue payments may be suspended after a 10-day grace period. Additional fees may apply for account reactivation. Services terminated for non-payment may result in data loss.

Acceptable Use Policy

Resource Usage

You agree to use server resources reasonably and in accordance with your hosting plan specifications. Excessive resource usage that affects server performance may result in account restriction or plan upgrade requirements.

Prohibited Activities

You may not use our services for:

• Illegal Activities: Any content or activity that violates applicable laws
• Spam and Bulk Email: Sending unsolicited emails or operating mail servers for spam
• Adult Content: Pornographic or sexually explicit material
• Copyrighted Material: Hosting or distributing copyrighted content without authorization
• Malicious Software: Hosting malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Phishing: Creating fake websites to steal user credentials
• Mining Cryptocurrency: Using server resources for cryptocurrency mining
• Network Abuse: Activities that disrupt or harm network infrastructure
• Proxy Services: Operating open proxies or anonymization services
• Resource Abuse: Activities that consume excessive server resources

Data and Backups

Data Responsibility

You are solely responsible for backing up your data. While we may perform regular backups, these are for our internal purposes and disaster recovery. We do not guarantee the availability or integrity of backups.

Data Retention

Upon account termination, data may be retained for up to 30 days before permanent deletion. We recommend downloading all data before cancellation.

Data Loss

We are not liable for any data loss, corruption, or deletion. You should maintain independent backups of all important data.

Service Levels and Uptime

Uptime Commitment

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for our hosting services, excluding scheduled maintenance and circumstances beyond our control.

Maintenance

We reserve the right to perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice when possible. Emergency maintenance may be performed without prior notice.

Service Level Credits

Service level agreements and credits, if applicable, are detailed in your specific hosting plan documentation.

Intellectual Property

Our Intellectual Property

Our website, services, software, and related materials are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload to our servers. By using our services, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and transmit your content as necessary to provide our services.

DMCA Compliance

We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Copyright infringement reports should be submitted through our designated process outlined in our DMCA policy.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms, describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. We comply with applicable data protection laws including GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations.

Limitation of Liability

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS RELATED TO OUR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HostCrafter and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time through your customer portal or by contacting support. Termination does not automatically entitle you to a refund.

Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you:

  • Violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
  • Fail to pay fees when due
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Pose a security risk to our infrastructure

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access and use our services immediately ceases. Data may be permanently deleted after the retention period.

Dispute Resolution
