Frequently asked questions
Which AI apps work?
Any app that speaks MCP: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and more. The panel shows the steps for the main ones.
Is it on my plan?
AI & MCP is in the panel of every HostCrafter plan. Staging copies need a plan that includes staging.
Can the AI delete my website?
No. There is no tool to remove a website, posts go to the trash rather than being deleted, and each connection can only do what you allowed when you made it.
Does HostCrafter keep what my AI reads or writes?
No. Requests pass through our MCP server on their way between your AI app and your website and are not stored or logged there. Your website keeps its own log, which you can read and clear.
I already use the WP AI Bridge plugin on a site. What happens?
Your connections stay. A site can take part in up to five connections, yours and the panel's together; the panel tells you before it would replace the oldest.
